A celebration of music

A chance to attend a night of music at Sunway University .

It was a charity recital presented by the Perak Society of Performing Arts International Ensemble. The ensemble consists of violins, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet , oboe & piano .
The first piece was the title performance of Butterfly lovers , by a solo violin with the ensemble.
The second part of performance that night was Tenor with ensemble. He presented three pieces before taking a break.
Next , the quintet ensemble presented a piece accompanied by the pianist.
The Tenor came back on stage to perform three more pieces before the audience called for an encore.
The closure was performed by the sunway's student ensemble together with the International ensemble .
It was a night of music, not too bad a performance .

Steamed Bread

Chanced across a recipe for steamed bread , it looks delicious . So, decided to ask sis who is better in baking to try the recipe .

Ingredients are simple :
After kneading it to a dough, we let it proofed for about half an hour. Then we spoon a little each into small paper cups, and leave it for another half an hour.
Then , heat up a steamer , We use this steamer :
Steaming takes only 10 mins after the water boiled. We put in all 19 cups in three tiers of steamer.
It is steaming .
It came out quite nice !
This is the nutritious bread with nuts, seeds, & raisins.
The texture came out nice too .
The bread is chewy with all the nuts & peas, but it certainly is delicious .

It is called the NUTRITIOUS Bread !

Durians

It is the season again . This mid year season of fruits .......here comes the King of all local fruits .

This is  a D24 . Heard that this year's price is reasonably cheap at RM 9.00/Kg for this species.
The outer ' husk ' of the fruit is thorny , hence the name " durian " .
It can be opened into a pattern of petals , like this :
Oops, sorry to show only empty ' husk ' .......the sweet , juicy, ' aromatic ' , creamy fruit in it are gone !
Normally , the good fruit tastes bitter-sweet and it is the most popular taste .
The fruit is yellowish or whitish in colour , soft & creamy .
This is it , the yummy yummy D24 !
Well, durian lovers , this is the season again !

Boil the egg in a pot with enough water to cover the egg .
and here's the hard-boiled egg....
Crack the shell....

Can see the snowy egg-white now.

Peeled hard-boiled egg.

chicken eggs cooked

There were 5 eggs found in the flower pot, remember ?

Now, the first egg was cooked , half -boiled .
Firstly, place the egg in a bowl .

Next, pour boiling water over it , enough to cover the egg .
Cover the bowl for about 5 mins .
Then, pour away the water after 5 minutes, break the shells .....and here's what we get .
Look at the beautiful yellow colour of the yolk .
That's the beautiful , delicious, nutritious half-boiled egg .
